Millennials are often misunderstood.
Seniors are often forgotten.
But if we combine our potential for influence, it's powerful.
Seniors are often forgotten.
But if we combine our potential for influence, it's powerful.
A quick glance at the headlines will tell you that millennials - the generation with the largest population numbers, most media usage, highest company culture standards, and biggest influencer value - are underestimated in the media marketplace.
You know who else is underestimated? The 48 million older adults in America - a number that will double by 2050 who make up 75% of the wealth in the U.S. - yet there's not one digital content platform dedicated specifically to both demographics.
That's where we come in.
At Millennial Ethics, our mission is to leverage the power and potential of ethical storytelling to create one digital community that bridges the generational divide, attempts to make sense of complicated narratives, provides actionable insights for both sides of the aisle,
and leaves viewers saying: "Wow, I didn't know that. Here's how we can do better."

Named after His Holiness the Dalai Llama's 1999 thought-piece Ethics for the New Millennium, the idea for Millennial Ethics started out as an independent filmmakers collective using digital storytelling to challenge how millennials were represented as a generation. We made our formal debut with the Made in NY Media Center by IFP's 2017 Creative>>Founders Lab summer cohort, IFP Week's Marketplace, and the second round of the 2017 Roddenberry Fellowship. Since then, our work has been recognized by international programmers on the independent film festival circuit such as Colorado Festival Productions, the Southern Shorts Awards, the Canadian and International Shorts Film Festival, the Independent Shorts Awards, Miami Independent Film Festival, and Imagine This Women's International Film Festival. We have collaborated with acclaimed non-profit organizations and creative studios such as the Global People's Summit, Amerinda, Jericho Project, Cozy Post Productions, and Enigma Studios and we're just getting started.

Sam Reetz is a writer, actor, and media maker. Frustrated by the generational portraits of millennials and seniors in the mainstream, she founded Millennial Ethics to use digital storytelling to rethink the status quo. Her work explores the intersection of media, society, and culture, fusing her anthropology background with narrative filmmaking. She has been recognized as a screenwriter, actor, and producer by international programmers on the independent film festival circuit from California to Canada and was named a 2018 Global People's Fellow during the 73rd United Nations General Assembly. She is currently in development on three projects: an immersive experience, Probable Cause, exploring what it's like to be pulled over on a highway at night in Trump's America from different perspectives; a serialized episodic, Just A Second, about the impact of the opioid crisis on the youth shelter system in New York City, and an independent feature, Saudade, about the late 1960's Tropicália movement in Brazil. She is a proud member of: NALIP, HRTS Associates NY (Board Member), Jericho Project's Young Professionals Council, Ladies of Comedy Association (Board Member), NYWIFT and the Made in NY Media Center by IFP. When not on-set, she mentors a rising tide of strong female voices in media and entertainment with Cutter Connections. Sam is based in New York City and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Wadham College/University of Oxford.
